Sunday Coffee v9

While an early spring is always welcome, I'll feel a little silly leaving the house with a sunburn given it's just April 19. After a day spent out in the sun, the rain is finally falling today here in Winnipeg - welcome opportunity for me to stay in and put together a quick mix.

This week's mix is admittedly Adjunabeats-heavy, but a lower key first half seems appropriate given what's happening outside my window. There's a couple vintage Above & Beyond tracks, along with remixes by label-mates Maor Levi, Kevin Wild, and Arty. The latter, a personal favourite of mine, brilliantly reworks Ed Sheeran's "Bloodstream", livening up the track to add impact to some strong vocals.

I'd be remiss to exclude Jamie xx's awesome "Loud Places" from one of these mixes, as it's wedged in here with a couple other female vocals - thematic! Finally, we finish off with Eric Prydz's new single, "Generate" - a track that finds the legendary producer in fine form, showing off the chord-work that has made him a household name.

Here's this week's tracklist:

0:00-4:35 - London Grammar - Wasting My Young Years (Maor Levi & Kevin Wild Remix)
4:35-9:43 - Above & Beyond - Good For Me (feat. Zoe Johnston)
9:43-14:15 - Jamie xx - Loud Places (feat. Romy)
14:15-20:45 - Ed Sheeran & Rudimentary - Bloodstream (Arty Remix)
20:45-26:03 - Above & Beyond - Sun & Moon (feat. Richard Bedford)
26:03-33:31 - Eric Prydz - Generate
